Picking the right sized tent for your camping trip is very important as a tent that is too small will no doubt be uncomfortable to stay in and could potentially put a downer on your trip.A family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) would probably be best looking at 6 man tents and above. The reason is simply to ensure there is enough room for everyone plus their equipment. 4 man tents while they are designed to fit 4 people it would be an extremely tight squeeze, so would better to look at the next size up. Look at the tents specifications carefully and ensure that the biggest person staying in the tent will be able to sleep comfortably in it. When lying down they will need to be able to stretch out without hitting the tent. Also enough headroom is important to ensure you can manoeuvre comfortably within the tent. One of the most popular tents is the dome tent, which is ideal for the experienced and inexperienced campers. They can be quick and easy to set up and can be very spacious inside. They are also well priced so you don’t need to break the bank for a decent tent for your weekend trip. While a 6 man tent would fit a family of 4, it might be worth considering buying two 4 man tents instead. Have a chat with your family as the kids might want to stay in a separate tent to mum and dad. The price may even work out cheaper to buy 2 smaller tents as opposed to the bigger one. Have a good look around as there are many options available to you.
